Advice for new cheerleading coaches: Structure and accountability for your cheerleaders. Make sure that they know they are responsible for attending every game and practice.
How do you motivate your team: I try to make every practice fun. If it’s fun then it’s not work. That also goes for games.
Top Safety Tip: No stunting if we don’t have a mat. If it’s the first time we’ve done a stunt then we also need to have extra spotters.
Favorite thing to teach/ coach: Dance. I love the music, Cheerleading should be fun!
When I’m searching online for cheer stuff I’m usually looking for: I look up dances and cheers. I like to put a fresh spin on classics. I think changing things up keeps the cheerleaders, active, involved, and engaged.
