*Advice for new coaches: Keep your distance from parents! When you communicate with both the team and the parents it’s best to be as consistent and organized as you can.
* How do you motivate your team: We are a family. This is the only time in life that you have to do this. The time is now! It’s a mean world out there. We are a family and we support each other. We can do this!
*Favorite thing to teach/ coach: Everything! But I think that my favorite is competition routines. It’s so much fun to do because it encompasses everything (cheer, dance, tumble & stunts).
*Number one practice must do’s: STRETCH! After you’ve finished stretching, go stretch again! It’s so crucial to everything we do on the floor. It’s a must do. Oh! and running. You will need that endurance. So we run a lot.
*When looking for cheer info on the internet, what do you look for most often: New cheers and chants. We are always looking for cheers and chants that are already done so we can learn them and move on!
